One is made by people who get paid a shitload to throw in totally needed and awesome sunflares everywhere, the other is made by a guy who threw it together. G i wundr y 1 is diffrent!

So tonight was pretty hilarious. There was a best of 3 PAX tournament put together by Cyber Sports Network and Hi-Rez Studios. The final teams competing were Monomaniac (aka Deadstop, aka Legions players) and ZFZ. Game 1 was pretty typical T:A gameplay; Deadstop won 2-1 on Xfire. Game 2 ZFZ won 5-0 on Arx Novena. The final third game saw further issues with Mabel at 300-500 ping, so he dropped mid-match to have Frost replace him. ZFZ called them out on this, stating it was against the rules. It didn't matter much since Frost had mouse issues anyway. Mabel was put back in to comply with the rules. Another DS member, Remics, lost his internet since he was at PAX and they were shutting down the event. Yet another DS member, Zprotoss, crashed. Since they lost the third game there was going to be another Best of 3, but bitching ensued and the event was canceled, all for the interwebs to see.

Mabel is done with the game. 2 other DS members are apparently done as well.

There's more, the whole PUG community was fascinated by this. After the matches were over Frost came on mumble and gave us some more insight on the situation. So Buhlitz was streaming their com without asking the team, he had done this in the past as well and was asked to ask if he were to do it again, he didn't listen and called them pussies for worrying about what the Tribes community thinks of them. And there was also some unrest between Mabel and Buhlitz even before the loss.

Wish I had the IRC logs D:, still, pretty entertaining stuff.

There's been unrest between Mabel and Blitz for a while. Mabel doesn't even really like him. Titan has a recording of their coms and put together a pretty hilarious vid about Mono. Gotta love drama.

Gather 'round the campfire for more e-sports drama. Apparently a number of Monomaniac (deadstop) members have left the team/game. A couple of team Legion members were brought in to form the new Monomaniac. Blitz, who has captained Mono/DS since its creation, was not invited for Mono 2.0.
