running skyrim on a modern pc is cheap. running it on max settings with many mods is also not as intensive as you think.

you do not need to spend $2000 and you do not need 3D (its not only overrated but more GPU intensive and can give headaches and make you feel sick.)

$1300 max would be my estimate for something that will run every game easily for the next 5 years.

this is the area you should be looking at:

http://www.cyberpowerpc.com/system/Gamer_Infinity_8800_Pro/
(knock down the i7 cpu to a i5 2500k, change the ssd to a 1TB hard drive and upgrade the GPU to the EVGA 560ti 448 cores)

http://www.cyberpowerpc.com/system/Mega_Special_III/
(bump the GPU up to the 560ti 448 cores

http://www.cyberpowerpc.com/system/Gamer_Infinity_Killer_8000/
(same as above)

(you also get two free games with some of those too.)

They are both really bad. If you want a nice computer, buy all the parts off newegg and put it together yourself. You can build a computer for $1000 and destroy those two prebuilt ones. With 2000, you can build a computer that insanely poweful, but so useless because you'll only use a fraction of it during games lol. If you don't know what parts to buy, ask around. If you don't want to build it, pay some local computer shop or geeksquad to put it together for 50 bucks.

Seriously, please don't buy that.

I'll do it, but first tell me what you'll be using this computer for. That matters.

If it's just gaming, that makes it easy. If it's for future-proofing, that makes it hard.

That rig is the epitome of excessive. Ditch the G1.Sniper and Nehalem and go with Sandy Bridge and Asus P8Z68LX. Ditch that gaudy case and go for an NZXT Phantom. The HDD cooling fan is unneeded. Spend all that money saved towards a decent SSD. imo, the network card is uneeded, but again that's just me. For the most savings, just assemble this on your own.

the computer i want is for gaming. i want it to be with good graphics, good performance, great space (2tb) and to have a high fps. and still be safe. that it will not heat up as much and that will last for some years at least.

You've got way too much money on your hands and you obviously do not know what you want. Please stop pissing around in here, go get to a shop and talk to someone who gets paid for doing exactly that and who will gladly take your money.

Becareful. Get exact details that will go into the machine, then go home and research it all. Or d I've seen way too many people get robbed by small shops, as well as larger ones. I had a computer service/repair shop for a few years, and I know how some scummy shops operate.

Also, don't bother with 1366, it's a dated socket, forces you into triple channel memory, and that CPU really isn't all that good. you're better off 1155 and a sandy bridge quad.

isnt a 2tb HDD excessive? if you have money to blow, go for an SSD instead.

I wouldn't consider it excessive it all, with the size of games, movies, mp3s space can really be a limitation for some, but this is upgradeable. I have concerns with SSDs for non-savvy persons, as they still have limited number of writes, and to get the longevity out of the drive(with out degradation in reads/writes) requires quite a few tweaks to the OS ie; turning defrag off. Also, research hard on SSD that you will likely be choosing, some of them have firmware issues that cause stuttering in OS, bluescreens, or whatever else problems. i've gone through a couple OCZ drives, and finally settled on a corsair in my laptop. You will also more than likely fill an SSD quickly at the more affordable price ranges, you can combat this by actively installing larger programs or files to a separate drive.

Which seems to be exactly what he wants, judging by his behaviour. Let him.
My behavior? (like I post before). Ijust want a goodass computer. If I can get a goodass computer at a cheap price that will be great but if I have to spend more that 2000 to be able to have a goodass computer, ill spend that much. (get my point?)

No offense or anything, but I am not a geek or nerd that knows every detail of a computer. I don't know which version of what is better I just base on the quality by price. You guys get me?

1) random parentheses and colors don't add emphasis, they just make you look dumb
2) don't insult people if you want their advice
3) when you want advice on a computer, link us to the specs page. 80% of that list you gave us is crap that doesn't really matter
4) do not buy a computer with a first-gen i7
5) you will NEVER need 12GB of memory
6) you don't need to spend more than $1200 on a computer. stop wasting your parent's money.
