Ok so if you are having problems with admins in the LO official ts abusing power for no reason kicking people out of channel or the fear of saying something about it cause they can kick or ban you there is alternative ts3 you can use. The 57th ts3 is open to anyone who wants to join.We wont ban or kick for no reason we dont abuse the power there is always admins there you can talk to if some one is harassing you. We can even host pugs which in fact will get started in stead of sitting in channel for hours listening to people with priority speaker talking non-stop getting no where.
The only request is you only join the legions channel and follow the rules you can look at the rules at http://57th.net/rules.

Have you lodged a complaint to Bugs or Seymour?
Tell them which admins are doing this and they should be punished accordingly...
I hate seeing something like this happen - we have a small enough community... we don't want further segregation...

A good lot of us joke around with each other. There is nothing wrong with that.
I do see a lot of people getting trolled. But, most of it is their own fault for being either that stupid or annoying.
I haven't had anyone come to me asking for things to be resolved, and I'm on there almost all the time.

EDIT: If someone has a problem, just ask an admin on there who he thinks is nice enough to listen. I'll listen to you, unless your reason is completely stupid. I can't guarantee I'll side with the person talking to me, but I'll try to help out.

Also, if there is a ban related to race, then there is nothing to be discussed. Race does not matter. Period. I make jokes with races in them yes. But bans? No. That should not/will not be tolerated.

Since you are [obviously] referring to the situation today involving a specific user. He saw fit to racially insult an admin. Not a smart move. Especially when that admin is Mabeline. Pay for the consequences of your actions. If you are a calm, relaxed and cool person you will have no problem with anyone. If you are being a jerk, racist or dumbass, don't be surprised if it doesn't go unnoticed and if someone is talking/telling a story don't try to talk over them. AND FOR GOD'S SAKES USE HEADPHONES (or be smart about it and talk when no one else is) I do not want to hear what is going on in your house/room.

Feel free to contact me if you think you are seriously being unjustly abused. I'm usually on IRC or TS3 and if I'm not send me a forum message. [This would have been a more appropriate medium than posting a new thread to belittle admins, though having a back-up TS3 server is always a plus.

P.S. This user who has the problem never seems to own up to his own stupidity. Always claiming he didn't do anything, people don't like being lied to.

no this doesnt have to do with at all. i cant talk about what happen today cause i wasnt there in the channel. but it is really annoying to listening to user has been kick 6million times and as soon as he was kicked he moved back and got kicked again. but no not talking about that.

Also its not the first time i've seen some one get kicked to a different channel a bunch of times and the person didnt have a mic either. i dont know why they got kicked or anything.

Haha I was reading through this and then when i saw ''Racially insult'' and ''Mabel'', it seemed to all make sense to me xD

But if you guys want alternatives for clans or something, theres a program called ''GSC''. You can make a server really easily on that BUT I dont think the quality of voice communication is that great compared to Teamspeak. But, its there if you want to make your own voice server for clans or whatever.. Plus its free

All Krazy was saying was that if you feel 'uncomfortable' in the L:O TS then there is an alternative where it is guaranteed that you will not be kicked because of some admin's arbitrary whim, you will not hear a lot of cussing (some but not a lot ), you will be able to have fun in a relaxed way, no one will make themselves and their buddies priority speakers so that they can talk inane nonsense while others are trying to get a game started but can't because no one else can get a word in edgeways and the list goes on...

I totally hear what you are saying Pete but we are not trying to take people away or split up the community. That has already happened. A lot of people avoid PUGs for the reasons listed above and more and we are giving those people an alternative. In that way we are trying to make people feel that they can still PUG. We have full confidence that the present situation will be dealt with in due course and that the L:O TS will become a place where people can enjoy going again but it has not happened yet and we are just offering this as an intermediate solution.

I think the devs are doing an amazing job and the admins have their hands full and are also doing a great job so we are not casting blame or trying to paint them in a bad light. Please rest assured of that. The problem has already been reported and I am sure something will be done about it. Like I said, it's just an intermediate solution.

Well said. Server/channel administrators on L:O TS3 who are abusing their power... should not be tolerated...
For the time being... make separate VoIP servers... due to our current issues... however, in the near future I'd love to see the community in unison.

krazyklown has a point. I'm being damn busy at the moment (since a few weeks/months), so I'm rarely (if at all) in game or on IRC. But, even before that, I've avoided TS3, especially when the US crowd was around (mostly for reasons already mentioned). So, while community segregation is definitely a sad thing to see, I'm not suprised at all to see people who want to do this. Not in the slightest.

Poor Seymour spent the morning so far going through TS3 server logs, interviews, etc to find out what's going on. In the meantime, feel free to PM me your experiences on TS3.

Seymour's going to be working on a long overdue revamp of TS3 (notably the PUG section) that will hopefully provide a friendlier atmosphere and focus more on playing PUGs.

Also abusing power to post in locked threads but if the sound is whats bothering you, I downloaded the Ventrilo soundpack for my TS3 and let me just say it is amazing, I could not be happier with it and the whole "user has joined your channel" thing is definitely not missed.

Just so everyone's clear, you have the option to turn off all, or select, notifications.

To turn off all sounds:
under the SELF tab>soundpack>sounds deactivated

To turn off selected sounds:
under the SETTINGS tab>options>notifications
from there, you can chose what you want to hear or not hear. obvy, check marks mean that the sound will play when xxx happens
