Questions from a beginner

Hey guys, I just started playing this game and I have a few questions about picking up speed (that no one cared to answer in game). I am pretty good at skiing (I cap in T:A).

• How do you effectively use a boost grenade?
• Which is more effective: rocket jumping or blaster rifle jumping?
• How do you cancel you overdrive? I think you need to be above 130 and press r but how do you stop? Nothing i try works.

P.S.: Is there a good mod that replaces the voice overs?

How do you effectively use a boost grenade?

boost grenades are generally used to gain speed, more on that in a sec though.
You can, in fact, shoot them with a rocket to cause them to do more damage then they normally would. it cause damage in a small radius and somewhat knocks your opponent back.

Which is more effective: rocket jumping or blaster rifle jumping?

rocket jumping is the more effective of the two. however, most chaser tend to prefer boost jumping, which is to throw a boost grenade behind you, then immediately shoot it. this sends you further and does less damage to yourself. i think.

How do you cancel you overdrive? I think you need to be above 130 and press r but how do you stop? Nothing i try works.

you have to be going over 88mps for overdrive to be activated, and you cancel it by letting go of the right mouse button

Overdrive for the Outrider and Raider classes, (Light and Medium), has a minimum amount of running time before it can be cancelled.

If you've ever flag punted in T:A, it's pretty much the save technique when nade boosting in Legions.

This difference was they were all reasonable questions that aren't documented. I've always thought there needed to be an official 'How To Play.txt'.
