New Map Themes

All the maps are in the desert, ice or grass.
Suggest Different localitations, something different.


1-In a couple of islands? and fly from one to another
2-In the city? would be fun to fight in the middle of a city
3-The space? Fighting on the moon or Mars?

I think it's unnecessary to make your question bold, italicized, and dancing huge.

I also think variety is the spice of life. But a skiable map in a city would be... a difficult (though not impossible) mapping proposition.

That Island - pretty much just an ugly valley that wouldn't work at all
City - skiing hell, too much stuff
Mars/Moon - skiing hell, would be stupid unless we had different gravity which is not worth it when you could just make a new map

No, Unknown is right. Skiing in a city would be very inconvenient to skii on and would just frustrate our players.

I like the idea of an island, just not that one.

A map without gravity is stupid.

EDIT: These ideas have been mentioned. They were shot down, they just don't work.

Turning it into something more of a modern area/scene, will probably just ruin the whole skiing theme..

That island: bad
Normal Cities: bad
Nuclear Wasteland City: good
Space: kinda hard to justify the lack of a helmet on half the head, but beyond that, its going to be all craters which aren't conducive to skiing.

Space could be, in my opinion, a great map. There was a thread on the old old legion forums about it. A lower amount of gravity would be cool, making the game play much more 'floaty'

Seriously, the editor we use still has some old physics attached to it that are way floatier than what you get in the Live servers, and good grief, is it awful.
