My ping has been bad.

I live in London, Redbridge in England.
I use Virgin Media, speed of 54Mbps; speedtest.net gave me 12.83 Download speed and 0.43 Upload speed. That’s all I know.

IMO some ISPs have 'deals' with Pingtest if you know what I mean

i have 6.24 mbps on dowload speed
i have 0.48 mbps on upload speed
my fps in game is usually 25 fps help me .... laggin! O.0

You're getting very similar issues to what I have, and am in a similar area (give or take 50 miles) and the same ISP as me.

It looks like virgin media does have some setbacks for it's speed.

You could also try closing anything that uses internet, eg dropbox and irc clients.
