I see everyone's stances on the development of Legions quite like a political spectrum. Tribes is on the right, and Legions is on the left. Therefore, Fix and Disci can be considered as die-hard conservatives in this case. :p Personally, I don't care if we get more Tribes aspects, as long as the game itself is still kickbutt 4W350M3

I wouldn't consider myself conservative. :p

Tribes vets who doesn't play Legions at all are on the far right party. ;)

You probably have not played any of the Tribes games. I don't see a reason to expect this to be exactly like Tribes but a mix of elements from both Legions and Tribes games. I don't know what you people have against Tribes games especially those who has no idea what Tribes games were about. Testing them today, without knowing what it was like to have huge community with lots of competition going on, is the same as Going out clubbing without drinking at all and then pretend to be drunk like hell.

Atleast if you bash Tribes then provide reasonable points why Legions should not borrow things from Tribes games. Especially when it's about invs, deplyables etc.

i dont have anything against tribes, i know they are brilliant games, and while i have only played tribes one and two for a (very) short while, i really disliked the inventory stations as i found they slowed down the pace a bit. (that and they confused me a bit)
another problem i can see is how friendly this will be to newbloods - i mean, its going to be a lot harder to get people to get used to using inventory stations after they have been so used to the way that something like call of duty uses.

another way to do inventory stations would be if at the beginning of the game everyone started in the chaser class, and they used an inventory station to change what class (or custom class) they spawned in, continuously spawning in that class until you used an inventory station to change it.
this shouldn't greatly impact the pace of the game but still mean there is some strategic advantage to destroying the inventory stations

Eh? How would inventory stations be confusing to newbloods? Hell they need to learn to drive a car someday which is way more complicated than using inventory station. Also they have always an option to play "naked" ie without using invs. This was a valid tactic on some maps when we still had competition in Tribes.

It doesn't slow down the game play and like I said there will most certantly be a mix of tactical Tribes aspects and the flow from Legions today so I wouldn't worry about game getting turtle slow. Adding something from Tribes doesn't change game to Tribes by default, right?

Btw, thank you for admiting that you haven't played Tribes at all. ;)
