Latest Update Crashes Game - Makes It Unplayable

When updating to the game, i got an error saying something along the lines of ERROR: *gamepath to rets folder* PERMISSION FAILED . So i clicked the update button, and the game said the update was valid. When i played the game, i made to the spawn mode before my game crashed. I tried it again and the game always crashes at this point, making it unplayable.

Have you closed the patcher and restarted it?

Check your live folder. What occured on my end was that the live file was duplicated in the form of a .rar file, placed in the same location as the live folder.

There was an accidental issue the other day with a weird update that screwed things a bit. But it's all fixed now. Wee!
