Lack of admins in EU

This thread is *dancing* disgusting. Show some decency guys, and be thankful for what we've got. We have no right to demand anything, no right to be angry, and no reason to bitch. Realize that you're lucky to be able to play a PUG at all at the moment, even if it's only every now and then. It's fine to constructively discuss stuff, but get your heads straight, know where you're standing, what you really "deserve", and again; show some decency. Thanks.

The idea of this thread is gone about correctly but as Gheist has so lovingly pointed out, it is not a requirement. I can understand the complaint though, as it has happened before and the implementation of some more game-starting-admins would be very beneficial but before you go demanding anything think about how lucky you are to play pick-ups (also like Gheist pointed out).

"Can we please have more pick up admins? There seems to not be enough at the moment" as opposed to "Give pick up admins to more people GReaper! It's all your fault that my pug failed!"

Edit: Perhaps some more universal pick up admins, as opposed to specifically EU or NA would solve this problem more quickly

Jordahan is completely right. The general idea is valid, of course it is. We're all in the same boat here and want the best for Leejunz and its community. I just can't get my head around the fact that some people seem to assume that the Devs aren't with us when it comes to this. If the stuff that we (and they) want would be as trivial (or quickly done) as some of you seem to believe, it would already have happened. Trust those guys, they're doing what they can (which is a lot by the way). I love to see constructive discussions, that's what those forums are here for. But ungrateful bitching can make me bitch back. Maybe because I'm also frankly a jerk. ;)

Please kindly ask an admin before you start picking teams. The main reason I lock the servers when not in use and change ports is the fact that you guys decide to start a PUG, pick teams, join the server, and then forget the fact that an admin might not be around to start the game. Then people tend to get annoyed/upset when they expect the game to be started immediately and nobody is around to deal with it.

Fireblasto, the server started for you this afternoon for your teams practice. You were given admin to run the server for that practice session only.

I understand the lack of admin control is frustrating. The main form of admin we've got is restricted to developers only because it's a hack which could potentially cause a lot of problems. It's been an absolute pain being the only Euro developer - as I can't give this access out at all.

The only other admin is the web admin hack. It's certainly not what I wanted, but after waiting for months for some basic admin control to be implemented ingame - I had to try and do something. It's had barely any testing, and can potentially crash the server (it already has several times, I'm just hoping the workaround prevents it).

I can give access to this to a few more people who I can trust. I'm certainly not keen on this being seen as a permanent solution because it's a hack which needs to die.

Thank you for that reply GReaper, I was trying to get the viewpoint from you and not from other people. I know admin controls are still in the works, and I know this web admin thing wasn't very stable or the final answer. Again, thanks for the reply, that has surely answered many questions.

App-1 has PuG admin, he is online most of the time, so end of topic! The time for more pug admins will come... but for now, i see only 50 players who do join pugs! thats not enough to make a scandal for admin power, 1-2 admins are enough to cover up the whole Europe!

Obviously not as we didn't get the game started last night >.>

OMG just stop it
there was an admin, we played 2 pugs and in the third ap-1 switched the map and left without starting the game
stop talking people
ps it's not ap-1s fault

I'd just like to mention that I was actually drafted in as a sub for that game, and thus didn't know if an admin was available or not. Perhaps its a short coming that people expect to plat continuous pickups, 1 game after another when there was an admin around. The server was already up, but there was no one to change the map or start the game.

I srlsy don't understand this thread. You waited almost a year until legions was back and now you complain about a lack of ppl who can start Pugs. Just go in an empty Pub server and play there. Other people will join but who cares?? Sitting in ts3 and spamming Greaper or other people and then complain about their absence is the most useless thing you can do.

I dunno if this thread was meant to complain, but to reveal a slight problem that they have. Although this would not take as much time as a more complex fix, it will come in time.

Except for Fireblasto, he's a negative nancy.

I have the idea that people are misunderstanding what I was trying to say.

I'm not bashing on anyone. I'm not angry because we can't start PUG's when we want to.
I think it's rather normal that Greaper can't be on 24/7 to start a PUG (or scrim for that mather) whenever we want to.

The only thing that I was trying to say (and well, maybe I wasn't clear) is that it would be nice if there were some more admins who can start a pickup.
And if that isn't possible right now, because the program is to buggy at the moment, or because devs are busy doing other stuff, then I completely understand.

Hell, I'm thankfull to you devs that you brought back one of my favorite games. Hell, I'm glad I can play a PUG or scrim once in a while.
I was only asking if there was a way to have more admins.

Indeed, the only reason I am getting annoyed is because of the careless remarks of people who don't play pickups regularly saying that you should just wait until an admin is available and be thankful that I can play pickups at all. BUT I AM THANKFUL YOU PLONKERS. I'm saying that such a small change can improve the expirence for all! That is all, and if people have a problem with that, then I have a problem with them.

A comment like this may go wrong in people's minds. Gheist is right in saying that we don't have the right to demand anything, but we need to continue asking for updates and pushing the developers. They're people too, and they can forget about things and get a bit lazy, but this is less likely to happen when there's a bunch of little flies buzzing around their ears, so long as it doesn't frustrate them. ;) And I'm taking these words from one of the developers, Fahrenheit451.

Aye, like I said before, constructive discussions/suggestions/ideas are what these forums are there for, keep them coming! A huge community that only consists of brown-nosers and yay-sayers doesn't help either. But there are lines that should not be crossed, and things that should not be forgotten.
