Last time I was part of "hotswapping" the next morning it hurt when I took a pee. But my main point is before all kinds of demands and "helpful" suggestions are made let's just get Legions up first. I'd hate to be a developer busting my butt on my spare time while a bunch of people are telling me what I should do to make the game better.

Nobody is 'telling' anyone what to do. Those members of the COMMUNITY who are developing the game have everyone's undying gratitude and they know it. But they have asked us for feedback and this is one part of it. After waiting so long for Legions to come back I think I speak for most people when I say that we will pretty much take whatever we can get but it's nice to have a place to air our opinions anyway. After all, what are the forums for then?

Yar, Seymour welcomes all demands and suggestions! This would be a very stale community if there were no discussions or feedback. One of Seymour's favorite pasttimes is discussing new gameplay mechanics, and discussing how the game can be better.

This was fun even when Legions wasn't actively being developed, now that it is, well, these discussions are a lot more exciting now.

So, please don't worry about making too many suggestions, Seymour wants to see this game become as appealing as possible to as many people as possible, and if there's no discussion on what people want to see in Legions: Overdrive, that just makes Seymour's job tougher.

This is true, Carnage but people just needs to realise most of the ideas thrown around here are not going to be in the game ever. With this statement I want people to really start think what they post since some of the ideas here have been really stupid.

Mr. Disci! While I wouldn't say there's been stupid ideas, there's definitely been ideas less feasible than others.

Agreed, I have seen evidence of some youthful imaginations on a sugar high but that is kinda unavoidable. It's going to happen. I propose that you employ the approach that assumes idiots go away if you just ignore them for long enough.

You have seen Legions change over the years. Some changes were warmly welcomed, some were not.

The question that I want to ask you is:
Once Legions: Overdrive will be released, which build of FE:L should it be like
I'm also quite interested in what do you think should be brought back/ not brought in from the old Legions. Say what do you think of:
  • Grenade Launcher specialist
  • New FE:L classes
  • Hotswap
  • Sniper rifle nerf
  • Fall damage
In my opinion some time after the Legions: Overdrive launch a mode containing some of the older FE:L content should be introduced (oldschool mode?). Things like hotswap and the old sniper rifle shouldn't be simply rejected from the game.
Definately the sniper needs some adjustments. It was very weak the last time, and really boring to use. I like the idea of arranging the classes using armor, light, medium, and strong. We could have different weapon combinations and versions of the bots for each category. The fall damage needs to stay, but maybe a little less. We should have certain servers that help beginners learn about the game. In this private server you can have other people in the game and be able to kick them out if they're being rude or simply annoying when you are trying to learn. Also the settings should be able to be changed. like you can take out fall damage, and other stuff like that. Hotswapping should be slower. We should make changes to the special part of a grenade launcher... it's pretty dull. and the rocket launcher too.

I think you should definitely keep the outrider and grenade launcher expert in those 2 are the only classes i use
And a question :
Will this be in browser game like old legions or is it going to have to be fully installed on the computer ?
and another , what kind of specs do you need to run this awesome game ?

Standalone, installed on your harddrive. Required system specs should be slightly lower than before.

This isn't the 'Suggestions' section, and I'm not proposing any ideas here but simply asking people about their opinions on the past game changes, but thanks anyway. I was simply curious where the game will be heading.

Let those people be. Getting rid of useless ideas from the suggestions forum is not worth making less active/ losing forum members. The ideas do tend to be... random, but after a while the authors of such ideas will start looking onto how do real suggestions look like. Everyone was a noob once ;]

I don't get why you think I was thinking about you when I posted that, but if you feel like your suggestions are stupid then feel free to feel that way.

Well I guess I liked Legions pretty much the way it was. Changes in my opinion should be to eliminate TKing and spamming. Remember that guy that would rabbit and spam " we need more defense"? That got old, however I'm not interested in having a vote to remove players, otherwise players would spend more time trying to rally a vote against someone instead of playing.
I liked the classes and weaponry. Seen some good snipers make impressive kills (even with the weaker laser).
