We were also going to have squads and a re-released map today but it looks like that's pushed to next weekend now.

8/4 - Live Changes - patcher update required

-Added a new option to create game.. map makers you are going to want to set EditorMode to yes or a few of the things like set camera speed will not work from now on.

-Shield Core self damage nerfed. You now will only avoid 20% of self damage vs the normal 50% everything else.

8/4/13 - You will crash on servers other than the ones listen below when whiteout comes up.. Server owners please update quickly. Server owners also don't forget you need to add outcast to your configs.

9/10 - Live Changes - patcher update required

-Dodge core now requires 11.5 energy to activate.

-Dodge core distance traveled reduced 20%

-Emp AOE core disrupt timeout reduced to 2 seconds from 5.

-Shield core now only absorbs 20% from chaingun instead of 100% ( was bugged ;( )

-Default demo restart time changed to 12500

-When players auto leave the game to restart demos it will now say so.

-URI support

-Flag visible in first person again.

-FCNC/CNC maps removed.. ( might come back fixed someday if someone gets the time )
server owners make sure to update your configs from config.cs which has been updated.. some maps are gone now and you will crash people.

-New option in video options.. DTS lighting ( it will turn the interior lights off on grassy for instance )

-Grassy revamped as a CTF map.

9/10/13 - You will crash on servers other than the ones listen below when some maps come up.. Server owners please update quickly. Server owners also don't forget you need to use the new config , maps were removed and people will crash if they come up

11/19 - Live Changes - patcher update required

-Some bug fixes pertaining to Cores and Custom Loadouts.

-DodgeCore now takes 30% of whatever your remaining energy is instead of a flat cost.

-LegionsLite toggle option added to bottom of video options.

-Hotswap server map rotation changed

12/28 - Live Changes - patcher update required

-Loading screen now shows the next map ( once the server decides ) as well as the scoreboard from the previous round.

-The LaserRifle's default fire mode is now click to start charging , click to cancel / fire. There is a new option located in the main options menu to switch back to the old hold and release style. Your screen will now flash very quickly when it has finished charging also.

The sniper charge issue is fixed , patch again if you saw it was broken earlier... switch weapons at least once then it will work.

-Mouseover descriptions have been added to all the inventory screen items.

-Overtime has been added for CTF , players will respawn with 15m on the clock. First to capture the flag wins.

-Things to look forward to in the near future will be a new core(TimeSlam) as well as a detailed player stats tracking system ( authenticated ) being added to the main site with leaderboards and all that goodness.

12/30 - Live Changes - patcher update required

Mostly bug fixes from yesterdays update..

-The new sniper fire mode should not get stuck anymore if you decide to hold fire anyways.

-When overtime starts, flags will respawn now.

-The scoreboard will now freeze when a team wins to prevent demo people being lost from the loading screen scoreboard.

-Mouseover descriptions on inventory screen work on servers other than your own now.

3/3/14 - Live Changes - patcher update required

Pretty small update , nothing major.


-Clients with demo reconnect turned on will not reconnect if the map switch happens under 1 minute into the round.

-Added a 'refresh LAN' button to server browser page

-The amount of time EMP grenades shut down a players core for is now determined by how close they detonate to the person. Within 5 meters is still 2 seconds and falls off to .5 at the max range of 20.

-Regening teammates gives 6 score per person aoe healed now. Healing the same person wont give score unless 30 seconds has elapsed since.

-Warp now does a maximum of 30 damage( it scales with speed , always has )

-Whiteout has been updated by Fixious (its now a bit smaller )

-Invert mouse now works in the options menu

-Chat message will now say when someone grabs the flag with dodge instead of normal

-Some echo-spam console cleanup and also tweaks for stats ( Stats are still temporarily disabled though on hotswap , there will be a post when they are back )

Dodge 20% damage reduction removed.
There is now a .3 second charge-up time after a player press activate core before they dodge.
You can no longer touch the flag while in a dodging state unless it is on the stand.

MapVoting
Starting a vote
Votes can be started by players or admins. Admins can start the vote from the game pannel. Players can start a vote by typing 'letsvote' in chat. When 60% of players have indicated the want to vote, one will begin.

The nomination phase
After a vote begins, there is 60 seconds for players to nominate a map. Players type 'nominate mapname mapmode' to nominate a map. If no mode is specified, CTF is the default. Both the map and mode are validated that they exist. After 60 seconds, nominations end and the top5 maps by number of nominations are selected. The voting phase begins.

The voting phase
The top5 maps are displayed in the game panel. When the voting phase begins there is a 'Vote for next map' option in the game pannel which will take them to the list. Clicking on a map gives it a vote. When 60 seconds pass, the map/mode with the highest votes is switched to.

Vetoing a vote
Both player and admin votes can be vetoed. Players can type 'vetovote' during the nomination phase. If 40% of the players indicate they want to veto, when the nomination phase is ended, the vote will be cancelled. If a vote is vetoed, neither an admin nor player one can begin again for another five minutes.


MapLoading
In the config.cs file (or live1 live2 etc.. on dedicated with more than one)

addMapToRotation(missionname.mis,gamemode,minplayers,maxplayers);

You will find the lines above. The order of these is the rotation of maps/modes on the server. Dropping maps in and loading them from the main screen or admin pannel should work without any additional file editing now. Mappers and Devs still have to be careful to only put the correct modes in their .mis file.

Players can type 'nextmap' in chat and be told the next map in the rotation coming up.

-Boost Core nerf is now live. If you grab the flag within 3 seconds of boosting and are not going 150 mp/s or greater you will have the boost sickness for 2 seconds.

-Flag carriers can no longer use jump pads
-A bug related to Boost core and friendly flags has been fixed
-An altered version of Fallout is now available as FalloutPUG, which features the flag on top of the base, as well as an increased out-of-bounds barrier
-Diabolus has been updated with a nicer sky, terrain textures, and jump pad location

-Fixed a LODC bug where recalc and test would crash some people. They were using start move before test as a workaround before.

**there are reports that using $timeScale(2 and 3 buttons) can cause stuttering in a demo. Seems to happen more often than not. I would avoid using them to fake slow motion until I finish proper slowmotion controls that do not use $timeScale. That being said, you can deal with the headache if you really want them.. does not seem to happen every time.**

-Changed the 2 and 3 binds to increment $timescale by ,1 instead of .25 previously.

-Put in an error message for LODC if you try to create a keyframe with no moves.

-LODC will no longer crash on the 8 maps it was. Your old demos maps should be okay to use it on now. (Ones after LODC release)

-Pregame countdown shortened to 15 seconds.


-New option to see other peoples midairs as messages in your chat.
This is disabled by default. You can edit this by changing the $Pref::Chat::OptionalsMsgOtherMidair value in your prefs.cs file (game/legions/preferences/prefs.cs). -1 means it's disabled and any positive value is the minimum midair length e.g. setting it to 100 will have chat announce other people's midairs longer than 100m.
