why? Why why why why why? a) the core 2 quad is a bit low compared to your graphics card b) what in hell possessed you to buy a 5980 (sounds like a slightly higher clocked 5970) they are ~£500 and out of date as hell. get something newer and better.

*sigh* AMD cards are more bang for buck, especially since the new series of cards are out. and AMD rarely design the cards looks, as manufacturers like putting on custom coolers (which is often also used on nvidia cards) AND if you care about your graphics card's looks rather than the price...

then don't settle for that, upgrade the graphics! the radeon 68xx series would be a good place to look (seymour suggested the 6870, which is a very good card) especially since the prices have all dropped because of the new cards coming out...

close, but not quite right. dual gpu cards (radeon 6990, 590) are not actually two gpus connected by SLI/crossfire, but actually linked together on the board itself. as for why you would buy one over a dual gpu setup.... maybe less power consumption and *maybe* cooler, but for a larger price...

don't even bother. most high end phones have more power. this computer won't even run legions lite.

i did have more things on my desktop, like a music player, ect. but i deleted it all because it looked so messy. i never look at my desktop anyways cause it's covered in windows. ;) i might eventually get round to redoing it...
