Are you sure you don't mean Integrated Graphics and GPU together? The CPU and GPU work together all the time...?
I believe Fireblasto is referring to an AMD APU (AMD's combination of a CPU + GPU on one chip). With that said, mr Mukhtar is not looking at an AMD A-series chip, but a FX chip.
Personally, I think that rig he found would be fine for lighter gaming, the GPU on it is decent enough to run, I'm going to guess, 720p resolutions. Here's a review of the graphics card here:

It's running a higher-end FX chip, but more importantly has a Radeon 6870 (which I adore). I've comfortably run 1080p resolutions on this graphics card and I've got an older phenom 2 x3 cpu.
Now if that's a little too pricey, here's a similar system, but with a Radeon 6850 instead at $729.99.
