It came to me when watching ikke's video. It would be awesome if L:O had a demo/theatre mode, just like Quake and CoD: Black Ops have it.

For those of you who don't know what such a mode is:

Theatre mode enables you to record something more than your own gameplay. It lets you record the whole game. That sort of recording doesn't require any plug-in software like Fraps, or an especially good PC. The game is first recorded in a special format (instructions for the theatre player to generate the movie).
Once recorded, a game can play 'reproduced' in the theatre mode. You'll be able to move around the map freely and watch how everyone was playing. You can look anywhere from any position; you can also view the game from any players third person or first person perspective. If they did it nicely you could also view the game from flag's third person perspective ;]
When you are viewing the reproduced game you can easily record what you are looking at. No strong PC required.

Awesomeness for those that make movies ;]

Think of it being more like the Quake demo mode, less like Blackops.

I think we need a dev's opinion on the feasibility. I mean if code-wise this is going to be based on sets of instructions to player/projectile models then I don't think it'd be so complicated.

DAMN I think someone already suggested this... I'm sorry? ; /

I know what you're talking about. Sort of like the one in Vengeance right? This is a good idea. I actually brought it up at some point last year but it died out..

*chocolate cookie* I hate when I suggest an idea with some details and it ends up as a 2nd thread on the same thing, only that the first thread is just the core idea ;/

Without significant work there will probably not be any rewind features as the engine doesn't have any facilities for serializing the entire game state. It's also doubtful that you'll be able to detach your camera from your player without the aforementioned changes, but slightly more possible than rewinding.
