It is indeed possible to chase as a Sniper, I do it from time to time, it just needs a really good aim (and a few routes that you can run with energy loss). Still I'd say chasing on smaller maps is not necessary, since you can just shoot the capper from your base (well most of the time), so...

Why is the posion the most unpopular choice? I think having a weapon that had a damage over time effect would be great (it takes -1% hitpoint per sec for 5 secs for example, or stops health regeneration for 10 secs). Or it could have even other effects, like leeching energy over time, slowing...
