I really like blade run, mainly because it was very open compared to Nivosus and Frostbyte, which have bases that give you a cramped feeling. Most routes on Frostbyte involve OD or using the back hill to slide down to grab flag/ go up with flag. The same goes with Nivo, except for a simple side route that has a odd return. I know there is a back route for Nivo, but it's hard to angle yourself to grab to flag and manage to not hit an ammo station or the walls.
The hills really aren't that bad, when you kill an LO, he doesn't come back in 10 seconds. Blade run is probably the only map that allows the defense to actually get ammo and heal. Even though Zenith is a big map, it only takes about 15 seconds to get there with a front route, maybe more.
I mean what's not to like about Blade Run, the bases are decent, the hills aren't rough and allow you to pick up speed without hitting an odd hill, and the returns are good. I think I have reach at least 200 easily without a rocket jump on blade run, which makes the over powered defense balanced. ( Short respawn time, netfix allows easier blocking, midairing, and hofing.)
What I really like about Blade run is that you can actually run a side route without multiple rocket jumps and get a clean grab. Also, after getting a nice grab you don't have a chaser on you after he rocket jumps out of the front of the base. I think chasing is too easy most of the time because most return routes are 130-150 and with a rocket jump a chaser can go faster then you and beat you to the base and own you.
All blade run needs is a few hill fixes and it could very well be a nice map. Also, I don't think you need a lot of players to play the map. 12 players is enough to play any map in my opinion; no matter the size.
tl;dr - Just bring back blade run and throw away quarry, mirage, and forgotten.
