I don't believe there's any plan on moving to an updated version of Torque, but I'm not really the person to ask that question to (because, plainly, I'm dumb about such things).

If I get a chance, I'll ask one of the coding nerds if there's any plans.
 
Changing Legions models to the one shown in the link above would be epic, but I know it would never happen.

Pretty much. You'd be changing the player model/scale, which means speed, flag, base, terrain, etc changes. All that jazz that I doubt Mabel would want to tackle. I remember one of the concept artists showing off some artwork in ts3 which looked a lot like the one in the link above, and Mabel stated he wished the Legions models looked like that. I agree...

And Legions will be coming back "soon" if that happens.
