It's a new trilogy by the way. They confused a lot of people, as they made it seem as though they were gonna fit the whole book into the one movie.

I don't have much interest in this movie, to be honest. Seems too fantastical to me. I've heard not to expect it to be like the LotR trilogy. Doubt I'll catch it in theaters.

As a big LotR fan, who has read The Hobbit many, many times. I will be seeing this. I have heard from numerous people it is very different from the LotR movies (as The Hobbit was a much different book.)

Excited nevertheless!

Saw the movie yesterday. I don't know if its just my love for stories and fantasy but it was epic, and I mean EPIC. Some scenes did seem to drag on quite a bit though, and since this is part 1 of 3(?) the ending was a real anticlimax. Other than that it was well worth the money.

Just saw and it really did live up to the LotR trilogy. It is not LotR but when you look at quality and how the story is told, it really did it as I would want it. Already excited for the next part.

Though I was slightly reluctant to watch it after seeing the trailer (which wasn't all that), I did end up watching it. Awesome story-line, and a great & suspenseful ending... I was expecting a last fight when the screen blacked-out :O

Watched in yesterday in 3d, it's a trip. They need to finish this trilogy now so I can spend an entire paycheck on the collector's edition with all 6 movies.

Was good n stuff but it felt like such a long film for not much actual movement in the storyline.
