player glows

ok this is one thing I noticed the player models have over terrains and skies is they look absolutely dark at a distance and sometimes you can't see the player. I think to rectify this would be placing a player subtle glow red for enemy and green for friendly. It would work just like LOD and detail mapping only for the player models at a distance.

Wouldn't be surprised if a dev would come in and post 'working as intended'. The way it is now allows sneaky approaches, and those are fun.

I agree. It's hard to see the models, even when it's your own team mate and you're trying to pass the flag. If there was a glow, it'd make defense even more OP though because they'll be able to mid air/snipe/ and body block you. Not something I want :/

Indeed; the purpose of the IFF arrows is to identify enemy players in range. Glows would perform much the same function. Sure, we could replace IFF arrows with glows while keep all the other components the same, but you'd be able to gather a LOT more information with much more ease. For example, you'd be able to see the direction an enemy is facing even if they're behind a wall (but in range of a friendly, of course), allowing you to take advantage.

It just seems, off the bat anyways, like it would change gameplay enough to be worrisome. That said, one wonders what it'd be like, and whether it could be implemented easily enough to make testing viable.

the glow is subtle nothing eye catching... in the distance all you see is black bodies

the bodies disappear even in chase and most cases the arrow isnt enough on dark terrains
