old sniper vs new sniper

new sniper seems buggy and i love the old one where you have to predict flight path and enemy flies into laser. more skill and more accurate. should we return the old sniper?

You can't implement a charge mechanic to the LR without changing it's capability, otherwise it's just more delay with no merit. From what i've seen, many are content with the LR's capability, and some are discontent and even saying it's OP. I guarantee you that adding a charge mechanic would come with more problems than it solves. A sniper shouldn't even charge anyway, and I like how you can leverage chip away shots with it and at the same time don't dominate the field completely.

... The old DoT sniper is never coming back, though we may test a charging mechanic (like Dystopia).

i cannot say its a good sniper, probably because i am not using it correctly....

how is this sniper correctly used? where do you aim? directly? or slightly ahead of flight path? ...other tips?

However, I do have to agree that the sniper rifle is a little bit slow, and a slight bit buggy when compared to Quake's rail gun. I liked the instantaneous fire, and after using the rail gun, the sniper rifle feels somewhat slow and uninteresting.

Given how quickly this devolved, was attempted to be set aright, and then devolved again, it would seem prudent to lock it up.

Genisis, feedback on the weapons is most welcome, but if and when you make that feedback, it's helpful to have thoughtful commentary. Just saying, "bring back the old one because it's better" doesn't really help us; giving reasons as to why something is better or worse is much more worthy of everybody's time.

That said, the sniper discussion has been had numerous times elsewhere; feel free to post in one of the other threads about it!
