He isn't breaking anything. The devs are opening it up for modding and this is exactly what he's doing. Don't like the mod? Don't play on the server. Legions as-is will still be available.

Whatever mods he is making is highly unlikely to make it into the classic game that everybody plays. Like fixious said, you don't have to download and play with his mod if you don't like it. You have a choice, it's just like the choice to skin your weapons or not.

It's not even a gameplay mod. He's merely messing with player scale. He could very well create a mod where something like that could be fun and useful.
