This past semester I decided to take an intro to 3D modeling concepts. My final project I decided to make some type of vehicle that runs off of an alternative fuel (whatever we want it to be creative or boring, realistic or not realistic). I got inspiration from the Tron light-cycle concept. I sketched up a few ideas and came up with a motorcycle that runs off of sound itself. It's powered by the music it plays, and the "wheels" themselves are the speakers; music comes out of the diagonal areas. So I decided to share and show my first 3D model!
I modeled it using NURBS and polygons in Maya. Tell me what you like or not like, or maybe some suggestions on other cool rendering techniques or animation. I would like to get a 360 degree animated render finished, but as the semester just ended I haven't had the motivation to do that yet!
