needs more cowbell

texture wise its cool but its rather chaotic and theres just really no focus. you need to follow rules and principles of design. first off dark text over dark background usually is hard to read. Between the debris, logo mask, lightning strike they are all competing to get your attention.

Had a go at changing the current menu with the old buttons..went overboard with the lighting effects :/

Nice! I love it! The menu is a pain with all the different resolutions, but still really nice.
EDIT: I want to download those launcher buttons!
EDIT2: On the menu background, I suggest blurring around the edges, less sharpening and remove the boxes around the text.

Yeh.. should have blurred it.. looks really sharp now that you mention it. Would love to see the buttons in action but have no clue on how to implement them into the launcher.
