Launcher not updating

Everytime a new update happens, my launcher ceases to update the reticles and stuff.
I tried doing a one off reload of live folder and that worked, but I don't want to keep on doing it every single time. Last time I checked I downloaded the latest launcher.

Solution: redownload the whole thing every update and copy files over...

Yes I set all the reticles to read only, but they are fine, but I copy pasted everything over from the weapons folders.

Your problem is that your reticles don't get updated, but you know that you're actively preventing them from being updated, by setting them to "read only"? Where exactly is the point that I don't understand?

Setting any files to read only is modifying the game - so we can't support it.

The reticles are now fine but I had to copy all my mods from my other folder and stuff to the new folder...

A new problem: because my launcher didn't update I had to redownload live again and copy paste all my old files over. Pressing Update doesn't work. Will there be a way around this?
