Jordan for Community Manager?

seymour is more of a stalwart of justice, reason, and hairy cuddles than a community manager. CM's supposed to both manage the communtiy AND create activities that keep the community happy and connected. removal of APC was implicated when you talked about having 3 community managers. Seymour is doing great at managing, but he lacks the youthful vigor (in body, not mind) that's needed to keep a community on their toes. Jordan is still a sprightly young wheatgrass who is constantly interacting on ts3 and loves making people happy.blowjobs

so i ask you, volt_cruelerz, in the language of my people: por que no los dos?

If Apc and Seymour aren't overworked and collectively are fulfilling their objectives, then we don't need a new one. Given that Apc does next to nothing, let us presume that Seymour is effectively our only one. If Seymour says he needs the help, I'll support it, but I don't think he does. If he doesn't need the help, we're just giving a title and a color to Jordan.

Don't mean to jump in and throw my weight around or anything but Seymour works pretty hard and in my opinion it's not really fair to him that everytime there is a community dispute (that I or another moderator can't handle) it falls to Seymour to deal with, there are a lot of things I cannot do as a moderator that can be done as a CM but ultimately if Seymour doesn't think he needs (or wants) the help then it is understandable but you can't just assume that he isn't overworked with no reasoning.

He still has a job and a family to support and pay attention to so he can't be around all the time either. Seymour is a great CM though so it's entirely possible that he is perfectly fine on his own though.

I'm operating under the assumption that he doesn't need help because there has been no evidence (that I've seen) to the contrary. Often times, when people are doing their job correctly, you don't notice anything one way or another so I am extending that notion to this. I could be wrong, but that has been my assumption. And as I said earlier, if he needs the help, then by all means, let's make you a CM.

Seymour is great at what he does. Jordan is great at what he does, and in my opinion, would be great as a CM.
One thing that really makes a case for Jordan is that Seymour can't be on TeamSpeak3 all the time, and Jordan is pretty much the most active person of rank on that server. That makes him (If he is promoted to CM) able to deal with all the bull on TeamSpeak3 without having to consult people, which takes sometimes, great amounts of time. I think it would be a nice load off of Seymour's back. 2¢

I'm one for Jordan being a new CM, mainly to replace Apc and take care of things on ts3, as sin just mentioned, would be a huge plus.

I completely support this decision - in the time I have spent on TS3 talking with Jordan, he has seemed to be an awesome guy. As much as I love Apc, he has been lost to T:A. A CM needs to be actively promoting events and whatnot.

Also, he's Canadian.

But why do we need two highly active CM's? That's my point. Removal of Apc wasn't said nor implied in the OP and is a side-topic. If you want to focus on removing him, do that and then propose that there be a replacement that is more deserving. I'm wording this poorly, but hopefully you understand what I mean.

If we had a community of say, tens of thousands, I wouldn't mind adding another and I agree that Jordan would be good at it. I just don't see the need here and as was said earlier, all that would really change is the color of his name.
yeah i love how apc randomly appears after the fact they realize there's no point in having three..........

Unless a CM(either APC, Jord, whoever) can magically make the game/community active again, I still don't see the need for a new one. There was a very small glimpse of potential, such as the Top 10 thing that never really came to fruition, or the podcast/videocast that only lasted what, 3 episodes? Basically, what will Jord bring that APC didn't? Will it actually make a noticeable difference, or just a different name color?

Activity I don't think is what Jordan would be focusing on, as legions is not finished. More of the dealing with the current community.

apcizzle is virtually inactive as a member of this forum, and literally inactive as community manager. CM isn't a privilege, it's a responsibility. That means that A) there is no 'fanclub,' as a fanclub would vouch for a higher level of privilege, rather than a higher level of responsibility, and B) Apc's inability to fulfill his responsibility (which he brought upon himself by investing so much time in T:A etc) is grounds for replacement.

tl;dr Apc doesn't do anything, jordan new cm plz (if he wants), Dacil you just draw stuff be quiet.

Amen.
Too much asslickery...

And there's a difference between 'asslickery' and honesty. Jordan can be a dickhead to me, but it's all fun and games... I wouldn't have posted something like this if I didn't strongly support it...

No more L:O Top Ten with APCs sexy voice? ;(

Lol at the blowjobs.

I'll just throw in my opinion quickly: one CM per community (Europe? HELLO?). I'm quite sure that having one CM in EU and one in that mooseland north of the states would be better off for all of the L:O 'community'. After all the EUs need more managing... So yeah Jord pack your bags and move over to Wales or like Liechtenstein :D.
At this rate we are soon going to need a Community Managers Manager.

Also, inb4 the aussies ask for a CM :D

jordan would be a good choice for CM, when the time comes that is.

its gonna be up to seymourgore to decide if he needs the extra help or not

that being said, i will support either decision made.
