Depends on what you've got now. I was going to upgrade, but decided i'll just wait for haswell. My i7 920 @ 3.8ghz , 12gb ram, gtx 580 1.5gb + gtx 460 1gb rig is keeping up with everything @ 1920x1080. Could probably squeeze out a bit more of my cpu.
can i put this in my current laptop and make it play games better, cuz right now my current cpu is on the verge of catching on fire whenever I play swtor....
If I was going to upgrade anything it'd be my GPU, I think i5 for the current games is fine and won't throttle performance. i7 is just for those people who want like 1 more fps, IMO.
