Hey, it's sky. I've posted these so any of you can try them and see if they work.

Directions:
1. Open the files up with GIMP and a .DDS plugin. Take notice of the differences.
2. Backup the files you have in your "Weapons" folder.
3. Replace the files you have in your "Weapons" folder with the files in the NEW weapons folder (the one you've downloaded).
4. Try them out in-game. If the mods do not seem to be working, please tell me.

Personally, I thought these mods would be pretty cool. The CG skin is supposed to be a blended/smudged/highlighted version of Shaun1992's "Alien Camo" for the CG. All credit goes to him for the original design.

Add pictures. I don't want to open all the files to look what changes you've made. Take pictures and host them on photobucket.com and paste them here.

I dunno. Photobucket screws up my computer. Dunno why. I'll just have to take in-game screenies, if that's good enough. :)

Eh, thanks, but I'll have to continue testing the mods first. The CG and muzzle flash were so bright that they were actually white... :P Fixing that right now.

Thanks. I know, I'm a complete noob at .DDS modding, but by gum, I do learn pretty quickly. Thanks for the help, mates. :3

Meh. I fixed that double extension. Anyways, they're different than the originals. I can't figure out how to mod skins using GIMP. I want to use the metal texture Dis_Ci gave me the link to. Any threads that contain a tutorial on this? :P

Open up your Layers Dialogue, then there should be a drop down menu at the top, select the layer and then select Overlay from this drop down menu.

Ah, I see. So once I copy and paste my texture on to the .DDS skin, I set the layer to "Overlay", and I should have a modded skin, right?

Well, you will have a texture over the weapon. You still need to merge all the layers(right-click layer, merge down) and save it as a .dds. Make note to merge down, not flatten the image. Flattening removes your transparency.
