Destructible environments

Basically when you shoot at objects they blow up like basses bridges things of the sort, like in BBC2 just a thought.
 
What I'm a fan of is not things blowing up, but rockets leaving singes, chainguns leaving bullet holes in walls etc.
 
Destructable enviros would be awesome. Imagine some mid level column obstacle, you snipe the weakened base and it collapses on a light armoured flag runner returning to base hahaha
 
Wouldn't it take forever to re program or write data for T3D (i know nothing about game design don't quote me on this)....well i guess like everyone else has said it would not be possible to create destructible environments

Mabeline hinted it is possible, but too complicated :)
