So, are these going to be workable still? I've got alot of the ones from the old IA forums, and I gotta say, I like them alot more than stock.

Unfortunately custom player skins are on the "Would love to see, but nothing to announce" list. Personally, I'd love to see them. A good portion of this community is very artsy, and I think such a feature would be hugely popular.

Plus, I'd look forward to someone making me a handsome 'SeymourGore' skin.
 
can u skin gun models or anything other that HUDs?

i love skinning working on a cell shaded skinset for t1 atm

I have no art skillz, so custom skinning: Fail For Me. A Seymour skin with a huge grin on the helm.....win

Nothing to announce at this time, same answer for player skins also applies to weapon textures. "Would love to see, but nothing to announce."
 
Ya, it is not a 'absolutely needed for now,' it is a 'I would like to see.'

Custom skinning and such always makes games fun, and very user friendly imo. Lets people put their own spin on their gameplay and shows people's tastes.
