Can't get Gun skin mods to work, such as Lin's Sniper mod.

Nothing I do seems to work, I have installed the mods correctly as far as I know, I've looked over an hour and I'm doing everything the forums are saying. I've also had tons of experience in this before..so I'm not sure what is causing this to not work, I can use The Spinfusor rocket mod, and the green jets mod, as well as a whole revamp of the terrain, but no skin mods? If anyone has a fix for this, it would be greatly appreciated. <3
 
Did put a reply on the thread, for the sniper.
If its multiple skins, its probably not a problem with your installation method. Will sound mods work?
 
That...is too wierd...I changed it to a .7z extension, and it worked. Even though it overwrote the same files, it worked. Sighs, lol. Thanks for the help though, I greatly Appreciate it, and your mod, is incredible. <33
 
well, I packaged it as .7z, so i dunno. creepy.
