Overdrive is required for certain routes, but it isn't necessary in general for capping. I've had no issue using OD as needed when capping in outrider. Watch Hominggun (xspartanx) cap sometime and you will see what a well played outrider can do when it comes to flag horking.

If you were around towards the end of Legions' availabilty on IA you should have noticed the NanuNanu and LP servers that were available for play. Those are an example of what these guys were able to do in short order, and many of the crew that were working on that project are now working here...

I bet you will have a little better performance with a standalone client since the browser overhead is being cut out. I wouldn't it put it past Gabeline to try to optimize things a bit either.

Something we used to do in tribes was to dj towards our capper and suicide in flight so that he could catch our ammo and repkits in midair and continue on about his business with a refill of his expendables. It added a neat little bonus for awareness and teamwork.
