Hi.
First off, I'm new here and I thought this woould be the most fitting section to post in considering there isn't a "Newbs" forum.

I currently play *Tribes: Ass-End* competitively, am going through year 10 atm ad have bugger all else to do with my time at the momment (Damn winter) so I decided to pick up Legions Overdrive.

As of yet, I have not installed the game, so if anyone could point me towards a noob guide or something similar, that would be great!

Also, whats Pub play like in this game? Do matches end up disolving into a TDM or is it actually well structured? And most importantly...are there Australian Servers. Please for the love of god let there be Aussie servers, projectile weapons at 200 Ping is NOT fun.

Unzip the contents to your desired location (e.g. desktop, games folder, etc). Double click Launcher.exe and login with your game account. If you haven't made one you can register on the download page as well. And then let the launcher do it's thing. Once it's completed you can launch the game by using Legions.exe which will be located in ...\Legions Overdrive\live. You may change your display name on the main menu.

Legions games even in pub play do stick to CTF. Of course, you'll see significantly fewer HoF's for instance, but that's just due to lack of formalized organization and should be expected.

Also, players can host their own servers, so if you want an Aussie server..

Well, I can't afford to keep a constant server going on my PC...electricity is expensive here, also, I don't as of yet have a job, so I can't pay for a 24/7 server...

Is it possible to create temporary servers from the client/keep any settings saved?

Yep! There's a guide somewhere around for launching a game server off the game client, you need to port forward and do a couple of other things and you're set to go.

You could probably organize with fellow Aussies to get a start time on a date of your choosing. (There are a few on these forums, look around)
