whenever i try to play a window opens and says "Failed it initialize Direct3D! Make sure you have DirectX 9 installed, and are running a graphics card that supports Pixel Shader 2.0." then it says in another little popup "Unable to create canvas" iv done all i can. i reinstalled both versions of the game and i get the same result. Please can anyone help me?

Deleting and reinstalling, then updating should have fixed the problem for you.
Check to see if your driver for your graphics card needs updating via device manager.

Are you 100% sure that your GPU actually does support Pixel Shader 2.0?

Find the program run, type 'dxdiag', wait for it to load, save to text file and upload to forums please.

yes. it worked b4 with no problems

Thou the D3D status which I'd presume is an abbreviation for Direct3D is enabled...
