I dont know much about the "fandom" of Bullfrog, but what I have heard is that they used to be HUGE in the UK, and had a strong fallowing throughout the world. I say this because many people here may have never even played all the classics they created.

Pre-WoW (pre-Activision) Blizzard is my favorite company, but god damn is Bullfrog a VERY close second. I can honestly say that I loved all their best titles equally: Dungeon Keeper, DK 2, Magic Carpet, MC 2, Populous 1, 2 and The Beginning. Theme Park, and Sim Theme Park (Sim Coaster to our UK brothers!), and even Theme Hospital, and yes, Syndicate 1, American Revolt, and Wars. Haha, thats almost their entire games library.

Looks like EA is bringing back Syndicate, but as a FPS. People may/are crying about it, just like the XCOM fiasco, but I really think that it can really work to turn Syndicate into an FPS. People are already going "OMG another DE: HR!", but they have no idea what they are in for. (I have even seen people say "lol this looks like Dues Ex, but better!".

What do you guys make of this? A butchered game? An interesting attempt at a classic?

(Off-Note: This is the only Dub-Step song I have ever liked, damn does it work)

I've never played this game before the 'classic', but this trailer makes me want to play this one. Plain Awesome!!!

This gives me the same feeling as Shattered Horizons did when i saw it's trailer, looks cool but there is too much player control FOR ME. Hell even in tribes where you could crouch i never did let alone will i ever swing from a rope, slide across a floor, leg sweep an enemy and then stab him in the neck. It's just too busy for my taste, and like i called for Shattered to flop so will this.

<3 Bullfrog for Dungeon Keeper 1 & 2.

Shattered Horizon was the most floaty and least maneuverable game ever developed, you're crazy. I don't know if "excess" of movement is the reason any game has really flopped either, and while it certainly makes them niche games, those can be very die-hard. I think everyone was just really disappointed with SH because it was CS in space, basically, with people camping on mobile asteroids with machine guns.

Anyway, it sucks to see people complaining so much about Syndicate being an FPS game instead of the original mode, but I think it looks great.

I said player control, like turning upside down walking on walls etc in SH. In Syndicate i mean the player actions, the sliding/swinging and so forth too many premade actions for me. Maneuverability is different.

Weird, I was talking about this today with my uncle.

I love Mirror's Edge, so I'm stoked!

Looks nice. And I loved Populous :D

BTW: GunZ for a non-realistic Mirrors Edge TPS. Doubt that youll like it.

Tried out S4 League which was essentially a more cartoony GunZ ripoff. The best part was the announcer.
Yeah seems like a slowed down original version of GunZ. You still should try the game out, it's 'actual' gameplay/state is much different than S4 League's.

Gunz 1v1 could take 10+ minutes for just 1 kill. So much skill involved. Butterfly tactic! Dont see mirrors edge in gunz the duel though.

And this game looks great. Mirrors edge style is a good thing indeed.

Hardcore fan of the original here, don't know what to think about the reboot yet. If they'll *dance* it up, I'll get angry.
