None of this makes any sense in context of the problem at hand. How about your .net versions?

Valid point; his .net versions could be out of date. I've never had that problem on any of my Windows OS's before though... "Connection to Auth Server" means he's having a hard time "snagging" on to the main server, as we all know. I figure if he reset his whole interweb that would have a clean slate; also, I had the same problem when I had Vista -- I hadn't allowed Legions on my firewall's list of programs that are OK to run, so I got the same error as the OPer. As far as Satann, I included the bit about resetting everything; sometimes modems can get pretty funky

I've made a couple of SSL tweaks to the auth server. I doubt it'll fix the problem (so far it's been impossible to figure out), but I'm mentioning it just incase it does actually change things elsewhere.

Has anyone suggested router firewall yet? Just throwing random stuff out...
