Yar, I think it's a pretty sleek looking piece of hardware. I'm hoping to get a tablet within the next year or so, so this will definitely be on my short list. The only downside is that I still feel burned by the Zune hardware, so hopefully the Surface will be more of a Xbox-style hardware success.

Yar, it was. I had the 8GB Zune (2nd generation) and the hardware itself was quite good. The Zune software, not so much. Constantly had problems with it.

Zune hardware was pretty sweet, the girlfriend had one. Too bad the software was so shitty. And those headphones it came with were the best! But the iPod really has a monopoly on MP3 players.

Same here! I was looking at this, only downside for me so far is I am not a huge fan of W8. But that may change.

what big company doesn't? it's seems like they've got wayy too much money, which is why they have the need to spend a lot just on a commercial

After seeing this I am certainly more intrigued by the tablet. Looking forward to seeing the Surface pro more than anything, it hosts some very good hardware inside it.

Probably going to pick up a surface pro myself. Seeing a fair fuss being raised about the base model being just a tablet with a keyboard . . . but I'm pretty sure that's how they were marketing it. Tiny, flat PC with a keyboard, though? Definitely worth a look.

I could see the Surface Pro doing well if it runs any windows app as they say. surface rt could be a cheap alternative, but it's ARM proc and who knows how that will turn out.
