If anyone hasn't heard what the James Cameron is upto now, along with some other peeps:

I'll be interested to see how things turn out, but their primary challenge is going to be building the infrastructure for everything. Once you get mines and orbital refueling stations set up with a sufficient amount of drones, the rest should be relatively simple. If they can set up the infrastructure though, then I see no reason why they couldn't.

Getting the backbone up would also simplify space travel for other purposes, so I hope they succeed.
