Map rotation + typing freezes chat

Each time I leave some text in the chat typebox when the map rotates, it stays in there for the whole game, making chatting impossible. Only restarting the game client fixes the problem. Video/console log needed?

I get that when I leave the chat box open as well. Dunno what it is, but at least other people can confirm.

Wasn't there already a thread for this?
In my opinion a way to fix it would be to reload the chatbox completely between maps, but I think that would mean it would clear any chat that was taking place (am I right in thinking that?), which would be inconvenient if you were halfway through a conversation.
