Legions.exe has stopped working :/

I cannot start the game as off today, tried a fresh install, which has produced the same error message. I have of course restarted my computer to see if there is any change, but the same problem is happening. I have installed the latest Nvidia drivers, which I should of installed awhile back but legions.exe still failing to work. I have not changed any thing recently in my config, or hardware. I did install a sound card a few days back, but legions was working after that, and not now.

EDIT: Auth_log is also blank, not sure if that is related or not.

Will take out my sound card tomorrow and see if it works :/

looks like it's crashing when sorting out the graphics stuff so you may want to try looking at your graphics card while opening up your computer.

i would hoover all the dust out of your pc while using compressed air to blow out the dust. (it's probably not the cause of the problem, but it's worth doing anyway)

Its fine. The log doesn't show any problems with loading the graphic card.

Just a hunch, but maybe one of your scripts/mods fails to load/is missing? Sure you're running Legions.exe as system administrator?

By "fresh install" do you mean deleting whole Legions -folder & running installer again? And did you try running the game without any additional scripts or mods?

Of course, installed to a different location to see if there was any change. There was not.

Result! Taken out the newly purchased sound card and legions works again. But its very odd, I don't see how or why the sound card would be affecting legions. brb, going to put it back in.

Reinstalled the sound card, legions is failing to launch again - so its most certainly the sound card. Legions doesn't have any minimum requirements when it comes to sound cards, but it is interesting as people who may be unable to play and got the error message "Legions.exe has stopped working" - may have never of known that it was their sound card, or their integrated sound chip.

I'll list my sound card here to prevent people from buying something that isn't compatible, although I'll try and update or change my drivers to see if legions then works:

Prosound - 5.1 PCI Soundcard - A80JB
