I've posted below my results from pingplotter, and followed the instructions in the stickied thread.
Is there anyway to decrease my ping?

ISP: Bigpond/Telstra
1ooMbps Internet
Cable, CAT 6

Make sure you are using a wired connection, and make sure your router is properly set up. Other than actually moving loaction, no, not much can be done.

There's not much that can be done Royalty. You can move closer to a telephone exchange, upgrade your internet to ADSL+2, grab a good modem like a billion or belkan and keep it wired, get some people to check the copper wiring lines around your house, get with a good provider like iinet or tpg, other than that not much else.

depends if you pay the electricity bills
oh, and it will also hog your internets (which you will need to be fairly fast)

Hence, break every computer in your house apart from yours. Also all iTouches and iPhones and what not, should guarantee you to get -100 ping.
On a serious note, I found that wireless and wired connection DOES make quite a big difference.

get the fastest available internet package from your company...get a better computer so the effects of the ping don't cause you to have super lag i get a better modem or wireless router optimize your computer for game play

I do use a wired connection. And I have played when no one else is using my internet. No change in ping.
