I've been having this problem.

Here:

DirectX Error!

Failed to intialize Direct3D! Make sure you have DirextX 9 installed and are running a graphics card that supports Pixel Shader 2.0.

Then this pops up:

Unable to create canvas!

I'm running a Intel G41 Express Chipset.
