Due to the possibility of the use of aimbots with the lazer, can we remove them from some games? They can make a game very one sided. I know I love being at 100 percent health and being killed from across the map as much as anyone. Maybe if they are loved so much a game could be started with lazers only. That would be interesting but best make it TDM.

Many people love the lasers including me but there is no reason lasers should be banned because there is no aimbot in legions.

1. Aimbots for legions do NOT exist.
2. The max damage the LR can do on an outrider is ~53% (someone correct me if I'm wrong)
3. The LR requires quite a bit of skill.
4. People need to learn how to dodge - if you fly in a predictable path, you ought to be sniped. When I take the flag, I juke a little bit to one side to avoid sniper fire. It's not difficult and it's effective.

Your approach for a suggestion is also quite bad. Instead of constructively criticizing the LR, you, presumably after being sniped by people and ragequitting, suggest that we get rid of it. Have you tried to use it yourself? It's not that easy of a weapon, unless your opponent makes it easy. I could easily make a post saying "BAN TEH CHAINGUN!!1111" after playing in a game with Mabel. In fact, a lot of newbies did QQ about the CG. Nowadays, there is a lot of complaint about the mortar, and guess what? The dev team decided to give the mortar an arming time and reduce the explosion radius. That's a constructive improvement.

If you have a gripe with a weapon, focus on ways to constructively do something about it. Outright removal of a weapon is a last resort effort and shows that you put absolutely zero thought into your suggestion.

its true, generally if you can avoid the first one, your home free from the laser. But im not giving out my tactic for avoiding it....

If it was the possibility of myself being killed, and or rage quitting I would have given up years ago. The fact is that some games become so lopsided. In the last couple days I have been in at least 3 games that were 9-2, 10-2, 10-0 and the deciding factor was lazers, one team had players that used lazers the other didn't or could not use them effectively. Aimbots or skill really doesn't matter, any weapon that gives that much advantage has the potential for wildly lopsided games. Trust me I know there are people out there that love certain weapons. Remember that the lazer was developed for use on the large maps and at long distances I understand why. I guess what I would really like you to consider is the balance of power. Many changes have taken place over time most of those have bolstered the Raider allowing it to increase lethality and acceleration and speed. The next time you're in a lopsided game take an objective look and is it really skill or just the ability to use these weapons? Are you increasing or decreasing the enjoyment of all or just a few? I don't have objections to anyone for pwning me, that's part of the game. If you really think that you are increasing the enjoyment of the game then by all means start a TDM game with all lazers and see how much fun is had by all!

Ok, let's not take me seriously. I have attempted to start a serious discussion on the balance of power in the game. I can remember when there were no lazers in the game. I also remember when outriders used to rabbit around the edges of the large maps and no sentinel or raider could touch them, that's what led to the lazer. Lets do away with outriders entirely because on some maps they are becoming obsolete. Lets just play TDM all the time, Oh that's right you wouldn't have a challenging target so that wouldn't be fun either. You could sit at your bases and lob mortars at each other, but then you would just be artillery

Snipers have been and always will be deciding factors in games when they are really good. I'm sorry that you are so bothered by it, but it's true. Also, pay attention to the fact that there are just some stupid-good snipers out there and they really can pummel the other team's cappers. If you play a pug though, this won't be so much of an issue due to organized LO. Sure, good snipers are a real boon to a team's defense, but they aren't the only thing. You can't win with just snipers. So taking an objective look at the LR I would have to say that it is fine.

In regards to your TDM comment, that's not really feasible seeing as how the LR drains your energy meaning that it would be a very boring game. The LR isn't a counter-sniper weapon. You don't snipe snipers (well, you can, but snipers are of more use on defense than offense because you have singular targets moving in predictable paths; TDM requires the opposite).

Also, given the size of the community, there's only a handful of us that actually know how to make an aimbot for legions and none of us are about to go and do that so it's not an issue. Even the rangefinder script I made I'm not releasing because it already is almost an aimbot. A few more lines of code and it would be but because of this, I'm not releasing it to others.

Now you're just talking out of your rear end. The LR was never added to the game - it came out with the open beta. Unless you're some GG/IA employee, you never saw the weapon *added* to the game. It was modified, but never added in per se. Quit lying, quit whining and for (HardStyle)Pete's sake, stop rambling.

Should we remove the chaingun too, because "people with aimbots" use them and can kill opponents phenomenally quick ?

You're straight up taking out of your ass. The old LR was developed and used on Nivosus and Moonshine. The two smallest maps In the game. The outrider was the 2nd class added to legions after the Raider, the sentinel came last (due to a cut of the 4th class.) Trust me on this, been around since closed beta on IA. There was never a point where snipers were not in the game. There was the charge up sniper, which could one hit kill everything and that was silly OP so they went for the lesser damage point and click model. The outrider is not "obselete" by any means. It is probably the most played class in a public or pickup game. Just because there are some people who are good with the sniper and they killed you doesn't mean you come on the forums, lay down a bunch of total bullshit and expect people to go along with it. Personally I'd like to see the old style of sniper brought back. I quite enjoy the charge up and being able to see the beam is awesome.

If you want a server without the sniper, or without the outrider, host your own and mod it.
