Most cards are about 100-200 US dollars, and some are as high as 500.

Since it looks like you have a desktop, any state of the art graphics card will be expensive. This is a problem with me as well because mine sucks but I can't afford a new one at all so I am stuck with a ton of lag. But if you have a couple hundred bucks you should be able to get a good card.

On IA you didn't have to pay to have a server and I don't think the devs would do that to us. But you look at how IA ended up and you don't necessarily want to follow up in their footsteps. Also, the server you create would be temporary like it was on IA. A lot of them were used for local games...
