    How did this happen?

That was part of the appeal if you ask me.

    Strafe-running in Legions

Yes, I was specifically talking about the general increase in acceleration when pressing two non-conflicting movement keys down as opposed to just pressing forward. Regardless of terrain. I am very aware of what strafing is usually used for in the game. Gheist's posts sounded as though he was...

    Strafe-running in Legions

I'm not sure you're thinking about what I'm referring to: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Strafing_%28gaming%29#Straferunning

    Strafe-running in Legions

So strafe-running (or skiing) speeds you up in Legions. This is probably surprising to no one, and I'm likely wasting my breath, but I haven't seen or heard any recent discussion on the matter. I've done a little experimenting with flat surfaces and noticed somewhat of a difference. The...

Legions is too sensitive to lag

Too reliant, really, but I doubt that there's anything that anyone can do about it. It's pretty frustrating, really; at a certain point, your ping limits how good of a player you actually can be.

    Turning on 1st person body/feet

I think what he might have been getting at is that it could make the game feel more immersive. Flying 200 meters a second in first person view would be a lot cooler if I had an occasional reminder that I'm not just a floating head with a gun sticking out of my mouth.

    Raider class change?

Harsh, dude. I understand that hearing people gripe all the time can be frustrating, but if you don't want our comments about the game and rather we'd all shut up, perhaps you should take down the forums.

    Raider class change?

I think that's likely the main problem; the classes haven't been adjusted in response to how the netfix and splash nerf have changed the game. And they changed things considerably.

    Raider class change?

As primarily a raider player, and I do sometimes feel that it feels heavier than before. This may be due to the netfix or the way rocket jumps are now handled; I rocket jump all the time, and since the change I'm still trying to unlearn two years worth of doing it a certain way. I can say this...

    Quickchat

Custom voice packs would be really great, but what do you guys think of running a contest for an 'official' voice pack? Have members of community send in their homemade voices and then pick the best one(s)? eh? EH?

    Poll: Respawn times

Could respawn times be made relative to the size of the map? Frostbite = 5 seconds, Bladerun = 8, etc? You know, because respawn rates would affect an LO more depending on how quickly he could get back to the enemy base.

I do hope the first new weapon will be a blaster or ELF.

    Blocking physics

I still don't understand why the push back cannot be coded. Overdrive throws people around no problem; wouldn't there be a way to retrofit whatever does this into regular collisions?
  17. DOS4/GW

    Blocking physics

Has it ever bothered anyone else how blocking is handled? I mean, if an incoming capper going 190 hits a blocker going 0 to 10, you'd think that the blocker would be knocked back quite a bit. But he hardly moves at all. Maybe a dev could shed some light on this? Is this a coding issue? A...

    Feedback/Opinions on Gorge

Depends on the size of the interior, but you're right. But in any case, it's variety. A capper could choose to take a tunnel for a quick, unexposed route home, but he might be putting himself in great danger were the chasers too close. Why do we have to be so concerned about precise aiming all...
