Why do so few regularly play Sentinel?

I do think everything would be great as is were the Sent given a more powerful weapon. Clusters just don't cut it.

Why do so few regularly play Sentinel?

I think you're only looking at the versatility of the Sent in one particular way. Sure, it can do any number of things as long as it's in capable hands, but it isn't very good when it comes to responding to a changing situation. For example, with Raider and Outrider, correcting your course mid...

Why do so few regularly play Sentinel?

I mean limited role in regards to chasing, offense, and capping (though it is possible to do these things well as a Sent... to a degree.) The other classes are more easily versatile.

Why do so few regularly play Sentinel?

That's why you use OD during a fight. You can use it to keep yourself in the air longer, OD into them to throw off their shot, or just before you hit the ground, OD under them. One of my favorite things to do is to OD towards an incoming enemy while chaining (chain + OD = bliss), swoop under...

Why do so few regularly play Sentinel?

Just curious. I hardly see more than two in a game, but often there are none at all. Is it because it because it has a limited role in CTF? Is it too hard to learn how to use effectively? Or do people find it not as fun to play? I myself love playing it; instant OD can really mix up your...

    For those who don't know....

Is that some kind of Ayn Rand mumbo jumbo?

    a history?

Short summery? IA wasn't making money with the Arcade, so they took it down. They relaunched IA as a service to buy or rent titles (such as Monkey Island: SE and Braid) and play them in a browser on any computer. It integrated with facebook, allowed you to play the game as it downloaded, etc...

    moonshine on every server?

It does seem to come up more often than other maps, but only a little more often than Frost or Nivo. Perhaps this has something to do with the minimum server population required for larger maps? That is, if the minimum player rule is still going on. If it is, I really think that it should be...

    Old Legion Players

I haven't noticed that anyone is missing except those who I really don't miss (Mapubare, NinjaPaladin, etc.).

    Random Ping.

This does seem like an internet connection problem. The problem could be on your end or your ISP's, but I don't think it has anything to do with Legions itself. Have you tried other games to see if you are experiencing the same thing?

    Crash after installing IFF/Handgren update

For Windows 7 users: I've got a fix that seems to be working. Go into your Legions Overdrive folder, right click the Launcher and go to properties. Under Compatibility, set the program to Windows XP (Service Pack 3) compatibility mode. Also check "Run this program as administrator." Now go...

    Crash after installing IFF/Handgren update

I'm experiencing random ctd as well. I don't know if this is tied to grenade usage, but it has happened a few times when I've tried to throw one.

I don't know. Falg behavior like this may be difficult to code.

Will 32 player games make a comeback?

Awesome news. Huge maps would be great; they'd put a much larger emphasis on chasing as opposed to just meeting the flag carrier at his base all the time.

Who would like to see Quarry return?

Part of me sort of misses the old girl.

Will 32 player games make a comeback?

I'm aware that the current line up of maps would probably be too crowded with 32 players, with the possible exception of Gorge, but once we get a few bigger maps up will it be a possibility?

    Honestly....

This may seem a bit extreme, but what do you guys think about a flag carrying time limit? Maybe around 2-3 minutes? In addition to discouraging rabbiting, this might give pub games a bigger emphasis on teamwork, as passing the flag would become a necessity. EDIT: Oh, and maybe the time limit...
