then what happens when 4 solid players are put on one team and another team just has medicore players that have no captaining experience. Or anyone with a mic for that matter. We need to organize it and make it fair by having people who know the game, know how to captain and pick players fairly.

no, the captains will get together in a channel by themselves and look through the list of players. once the teams have been picked, the signup thread will be updated with the teams everyone has been put on.

captains pick the teams. that would be more fair than random teams lol. by far.

I saw there was a few threads about having a tournament... but they weren't going any where so as community manager i figured this would be a good first thing for me to do on duty. plus, random teams will make it more fair i believe and actually more fun because you get to play with people...

well the same goes for everyone else. there is no legit/fair way to fixing this. It'll always be a problem in video gaming. Its just a matter of if you have fun playing still with high ping or not.

exactly. i want this tourny to go fast and not prolong through the whole month. The shorter the better because everyone has different schedules. i know server bitching is inevitable so im trying to keep it at one "centralized" location the best that i can.

yes it'll be mixed teams. Once signups are over, all the captains will get together and pick one by one out of the pool of players.

in such occasions you can either put someone else in charge of the money OR you can donate to legions for server upkeep ;) Dates are posted. I'm going to stick with those until i hear otherwise... but i don't see there being any problems. And i just posted in the other thread about TS3...

Ts3 is not mandatory... it would be nice to see everyone atleast go on and listen to their captain but if it makes you lag or just doesnt run well in the background, then just be in contact with your leader by email, phone or irc and show up on time. As for maps, each round will have a map...
