Engy leveling should help this. Players are going to naturally want to invest time in the core so that they can deploy more powerful ones later on. Conquest's nature will also impact this.

IIRC, Prometheus isn't actually programmed to have mortars, just CG, RL, and GL.

If it becomes known that you're new, you won't sit out for more than one game at a time. That's a rule that is set up. Also, people will try to help you and so long as you make a reasonable attempt at your position, no one is going to complain.

I can model, I cannot for the life of me texture things, and have never tried animation. My point was that if someone were to make new art, unless they are a professional, I doubt that they'd get it done on their own in any sort of reasonable time frame.

You can certainly alter the models, though modeling, texturing, and animating them would be difficult.

Legions games even in pub play do stick to CTF. Of course, you'll see significantly fewer HoF's for instance, but that's just due to lack of formalized organization and should be expected. Also, players can host their own servers, so if you want an Aussie server..
