Well, first of all the map change isn't based off of a rotation. The next map is chosen randomly from a weighted list which includes all maps. One reason large maps don't appear very often because an almost completely full server is required. The other reason applies to 80% of all Legions maps...

Both the jump pads and the boost rings in Pipe Challenge are team-specific. You need to be on Beta for them to work. If you go into a map with jump pads (a couple are Gorge and Blade Run), you'll find that you can use the ones in your base but not the ones in the enemy's.

My opinion on Core is that it needs, at the very least, terrain smoothing everywhere. I know I'm not much of a capper, but I find it inordinately difficult to find a fast route on Core without constantly smacking into odd dents and edges.
