Going on the traditional mainstream Mayan calendar knowledge, the 9th creation cycle is to start/end on December 21, 2012. Then there is the other, much less known and apparently alot more accurate Mayan to Gregorian translation, done by Carl Colleman and Ian Xel Lungold, and that the end-date is closer to October 28th, 2011.
