self hosting?

is it possible to host a game/server? I'd like to run around and get use to the game before heading out to a real server

I'm asking if their are any easter servers that can give me a decent ping and not spike.

The periodic spikes are a recognized issue, if I'm not mistaken, but the current US servers are on the East Coast (or close enough), and work rather well.

Then you want to be under 100, not over... Latency, measured in ms. Lower = better.

Yeah I know this... I said is their any server that will give me anything under 100.... rephrase: "I don't get anything over 100 currently, will there be better eastern server implemented?"
